As Jesus spoke the words, “in the world you will have tribulation,” he was specifically referring to what we often call ‘Storms of Life.'”
When the Storms of life hit, could take your life from fantastic to tragic in seconds. We’ve all been there – whether it’s a sick parent or a child who has had an accident – we know the feeling of having our calmness shattered.
As Christians, we may think that our faith will protect us from every life storm. However, when we find ourselves caught up in the chaos of one, we may question why it’s happening and why God is allowing it.
At times like these, we need to remember what Jesus said in John 16:33, “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
The focus of this message is WHO we meet during the storm, not the reason why it’s happening.
What Are The Storms Of Life?
The storms of life are not necessarily a result of disobedience. Instead, they are God’s way of teaching us valuable lessons and removing people, jobs, or things from our lives that no longer serve His purpose for us.
Although life’s storms can feel like colossal failures that leave behind trauma, we can unlock invaluable lessons by learning from them and seeing God’s purpose.
God uses life’s storms to get our attention, bring us closer to Him, and help us learn about His character.
It is in the midst of these storms that we seek Him more fervently than we might if everything were calm and under our control.
There are times when we feel like we are in a small boat in the middle of a great storm, struggling to stay afloat. But, in those tumultuous times is when God is working at His hardest – He is cleaning up your life to birth a new and transformative chapter in the story of your lives.
Every new chapter comes with new blessings and challenges, so even if you are feeling desperate, exhausted, and drenched from the intensity of the storm, hold on tight because there is always life after the storm.
Trust in God, the master captain of life storms, and He will never allow you to drown. You are a beloved child of the King of Kings.
This message is for you, the one who is desperate and exhausted, you who is soaked because the storm you’re in is so intense you can’t see a way out.
I am here to tell you that there is life after a storm.
