Sometimes, when you’re doing adorable activities for moms and daughters, it’s best to do them with a great group of friends. This is exactly what I’ve been doing with a few of my best friends.
Before I share some of the fun mom and daughter activities you can do, let me introduce you to my besties… Here they are, Florisel and Mirihec, along with their adorable daughters Emma, Christina, and Sabrina😍.
Our group is like a close-knit family, defined by genuine support, shared interests, and heartfelt connections. We celebrate each other’s successes and provide unwavering support during challenging times, creating a safe haven of understanding and friendship.
This magic extends to our daughters too: Emma, Christina, Sabrina, and Mia have formed bonds as strong as our own.
They’re not just playmates but lifelong friends who create cherished memories together. When our group gets together, it’s like a double playdate, benefiting both adults and children alike.
It strengthens the bonds between moms and daughters and leaves us all with a heart full of treasured memories.
But when we are not busy with friends, and it is just the two of us, we enjoy our regular activities. Still, sometimes those activities get old, and we need to come up with new stuff to do together.
As the colder weather approaches, it’s the perfect time to have a handy list of new and improved fun mom and daughter activities to do together and strengthen our bond while having fun.

So, let’s grab a cup of coffee and get cozy while we discover a world where a mom and daughter can safely bond, share smiles, and have heart-to-heart chats.
Here are five of the most adorable activities that a mom and daughter can do together:
1. Baking Together: Desserts to Make with Your Daughter
Indulge in a delightful baking session together. Whether you bake cookies, cupcakes, or a fancy cake, the experience of measuring, mixing, and decorating is fun and educational.
Afterward, brew a pot of your favourite tea (or coffee) and enjoy your freshly baked treats while chatting about life, dreams, and everything in between.
One of our favourite recipes to make together is the classic madeleines.
Another excellent idea for a delightful treat is baking some delicious Banana Bread.
Personally, I find that baking banana bread in big batches is the way to go because who can resist indulging in this delicious dessert? Simply the aroma is like a comforting hug.
Mia loves to find it in her lunchbox, and it also freezes wonderfully!
2. Anticipated Movies, Incredible TV Shows or Unforeseen Video Games
Mia and I share a love for those cozy couch moments, complete with a massive bucket of popcorn.
Currently, we’re immersed in the world of “Cobra Kai” on Netflix, a modern continuation of the beloved Karate Kid movies. With a stellar 94% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, it’s a fantastic choice for quality bonding time.
Another excellent show to consider is “Stranger Things,” set in the 80s and filled with aliens and people with superpowers. Watching it might lead to amusing conversations with your child about the quirks of the past, like the long corded landline phones and paper maps 😆.
What’s more, both of these shows offer a fantastic opportunity for mom and daughter conversations. Engaging them in conversations about the characters’ choices and plot twists can lead to surprising and insightful conversations.
If you’re up for a different kind of adventure, don’t dismiss the world of video games.
I grew up playing Nintendo classics like Mario Bros and still enjoy them.
Mia and I share a Nintendo Switch console, and our favourite games are “Overcooked 2” and “Super Mario Party.” It’s a fun and interactive way to spend quality time together, and you might discover that gaming is a shared interest you both enjoy.
While we haven’t been to the movie theatre lately, we’re eagerly awaiting two upcoming releases:
The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes, the prequel to the beloved “Hunger Games” series. Scheduled for release on November 17, 2023, it promises to take fans back to the captivating world of Panem and reveal the untold story of the iconic series.
And let’s not forget “Wonka,” the prequel to the classic “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory” (1971), is set to be released on December 15, 2023. From the eccentric genius of Willy Wonka to the magical factory itself, this movie is sure to reignite the wonder and joy of the original classic. Don’t miss Huge Grant as the hilarious Oompa Loompa!
So, mark those dates on your calendar and prepare for unforgettable movie magic!
3. Join a Bible Study group
Believe it or not, one of our absolute favourite days of the week is Wednesday night. It’s a day we circle on our calendars and never miss, no matter the weather or circumstances!
As a mom and daughter team who wholeheartedly embrace the Jesus Lifestyle, our Bible Group study is a highlight we eagerly anticipate. And yes, you guessed it, our wonderful friends are part of it, too, but the size of our group makes it even more special; it’s a vibrant mix of parents and kids.
Joining this Bible Study group turned out to be a delightful surprise. It’s anything but slow and tedious; in fact, it’s incredibly dynamic.
We all pitch in to bring delicious food, and there’s always coffee to keep us going. And here’s the magic touch – the kids are just as excited about these gatherings as we are. They get to watch a short, engaging video, ask their questions, and then it’s playtime!
It’s a win-win situation that makes Wednesday nights the highlight of our week, bringing us closer together as a loving family with shared beliefs and values.
4. Capturing Autumn’s Beauty: Mom and Daughter Moments Through the Lens
Every Fall season is mom and daughter picture time.
We are fortunate to have my dear friend Florisel, a talented photographer who adds a touch of magic to every snapshot she takes.
Through her lens, the beauty of every leaf and the richness of every autumn colour come alive, and the friendship and happiness shared between our children flourish with each click of her camera.
What makes these photos truly unique is the genuine joy and friendship that our children have for each other. Florisel works her magic behind the lens, capturing our daughters in their element.
Each photo showcases their laughter, fall colours, and the unbreakable bond they share.
5. Outdoor Adventures: Taking pictures, Exploring Parks, Zoos, and Heritage Sites Together
The Big Outdoors is a great place for a mom and daughters to have fun.
If your kids love exotic animals, visiting a Zoo is a great idea to spend time together.
For example, Calgary Zoo has over 1,000 animals; It is over 120 acres and has seven zones: Destination Africa, Canadian Wilds, Penguin Plunge, Dorothy Harvie Botanical Gardens and ENMAX Conservatory, TransAlta Rainforest, Eurasia, and Prehistoric Park.
Mia and I once spent 5 hours walking around, exploring, and admiring the animals.

The Prince House tour is particularly interesting, where knowledgeable tour experts guide you through the details of the house and answer any questions you may have.
